the legacy of Ayrton Senna, the craft of Bruce McLaren and the drive of Greg Murphy
A showcase of the ultimate road legal track car, on track with Greg Murphy. With a mind-boggling level of attention paid to the design and engineering, it’s fair to say the Senna shows it’s self off pretty well.
An essential part of this project was to really show the cars capability on the track and how fast it really is. For this we rigged a Canon C200 to the back of a track car, allowing us to be on track and capture the rolling shots that feature throughout the video.
For aerial shots, it was extremely important to capture the speed of the Senna and to to this we needed a fast drone. The DJI Inspire 2 worked well for this, and allowed us to use various lenses to capture the car from tight angles, and wide.
We worked alongside the team at Downforce to meet all necessary requirements to safely and legally fly and shoot at Hampton Downs raceway.
It was a special day shooting New Zealand’s first McLaren Senna on the famous Hampton Downs race course. The video was published across Giltrap’s media platforms.
