Aston martin launches the DBX in new zealand
BRIEF
Aston Martin Auckland wanted to introduce their new DBX into New Zealand with content that was actually shot in New Zealand, rather than overseas productions that lacked context for the New Zealand audience.
TEAM
We ran a condensed team for this project as we needed to wrap shooting in two days, which required us to be agile while shooting. Our team consisted of a director, cinematographer/aerial pilot, photographer, sound tech and of course our talent. Our talent the Aston Martin Racing team, this made for some incredible shots off-road as his confidence in driving allowed us to get shots we would never have tried with an untrained driver.
EXECUTION
One of the key parts of the DBX shoot was rigging a camera to a chase car, which would capture all of the main on-road and off-road video. We were able to rig our Canon C70 kit to a For Ranger, which was well equipped for off-road shooting. Luckily our cinematographer had aerial experience flying a DJI Inspire 2 drone, which meant we were able to use him for both camera and aerial shots.
RESULT
We created a number of long form and short form content for digital platforms. Check out the video above for the final product.
